A new Bishop of Brentwood – welcome Bishop Timothy Menezes
We warmly welcome Bishop Timothy as the new Bishop of Brentwood. He is currently Auxiliary Bishop in the Archdiocese of Birmingham. Bishop Timothy has served as a priest for just over 30 years, including time as Dean of Birmingham Cathedral and Vicar General of Birmingham Archdiocese. There is more information at https://www.cbcew.org.uk/new-bishop-for-brentwood/
We give thanks for Bishop Alan’s immense and dedicated service to our Diocese. Bishop Alan has a wonderful pastoral heart, tremendous kindness and deep faith. He has been especially kind to Romford, supporting Fr Tom in very difficult times, and always very encouraging of the parish projects and initiatives of recent years. We wish him every blessing.

Our parish is guided and served by many magnificent volunteers. In June 2024 we considered afresh how parish leadership could be structured, to ensure all the different parts of parish life were represented. Following contributions from many parishioners, including at the Parish AGM, various sub committees were formed, and the fruits of their work can be seen in so many different aspects of what is on offer here. It is all set out on these pages, presented to the parish on the weekend of 10th and 11th May 2025:
